ETA Approves Change In Period Minutes For Minor/Major Midget Games
ETA Adopts 15-20-20 Periods For Minor Midget and Midget

Effective immediately the ETA has approved the use of 15-20-20 minute periods for the Minor Midget and Midget divisions while retaining the current requirement of the 2:00 hour (minimum) time slot.ETA research during the 2013/2014 season confirmed that an extremely high percentage of games with 15-20-20 minute periods could be completed in the 2 hour ice allocation.

Accordingly this has been made in order to more effectively utilize the allocated ice time as well as to move towards the junior leagues' standards. Prior to implementing this change it was necessary for the ETA to have the OMHA Manual of Operations amended, which was completed at the last OMHA AGM.
