The ETA Minor Midget Showcase goes this weekend in Aurora.
For minor hockey players their Minor Midget AAA year is the most important season they will have. In April of each year the Ontario Hockey League holds its annual draft of these 15 & 16 year old players.
In 2009 the ETA established the Minor Midget AAA Showcase. This 2 day event, which features league games between all 13 ETA teams, was implemented to provide exposure of all ETA players to OHL, U Sports and OHA scouts. Typically over 100 scouts and general managers attend these games over the course of the weekend.
In addition to the games the players are able to attend seminars and information sessions to help prepare these players for their future, both on the ice and off.
