Congratulations to ETA graduates Barrett Hayton, (Peterborough Minor Petes), Owen Tippett, (Peterborough Minor Petes) and Morgan Frost, (Barrie Jr. Colts), who have been selected to represent Canada as members of Canada’s World Junior team in the upcoming World Junior tournament.

All three players are forwards and are currently playing in the OHL, Barrett and Morgan for the Soo Greyhounds and Owen for the Mississauga Steelheads. All three players are also NHL first round draft picks, Barrett by the Arizona Coyotes, Owen by the Florida Panthers and Morgan by the Philadelphia Flyers.

A 4th ETA grad, Gabe Vilardi (Kingston Jr. Frontenacs) is unable to compete due to injury.

This year’s tournament is being held in Vancouver and Victotia B.C. Team Canada’s opening game is at 5:00 PM EST on Boxing Day against Denmark.

Best of luck to these players and Team Canada.
