4 Former ETA Players Selected to Canada’s 2021 National Junior Team!
At the conclusion of the 2021 Sport Chek National Junior Selection camp held in Red Deer Alberta 4 former ETA players were named to the Team Canada roster. Quinton Byfield (York Simcoe Express), Connor McMichael (Ajax Pickering Raiders), Cole Perfetti (Whitby Wildcats) and Alex Newhook (York Simcoe Express) have been selected to represent Canada as members of the 2021 National Junior team. Both Quinton and Connor were members of Team Canada which captured gold at last year’s IIHF World Junior Championships.


Quinton is currently playing for the Sudbury Wolves and has been drafted by the Los Angeles Kings.
Connor is currently playing for the London Knights and has been drafted by the Washington Capitals.

Cole is currently playing for the Saginaw Spirit and has been drafted by the Winnipeg Jets.

Alex is currently playing for Boston College (NCAA) and has been drafted by the Colorado Avalanche.

The upcoming IIHF World Junior Championships will be held in Edmonton from December 25th to January 5th. Team Canada plays their first game on December 26th against Germany.
