Organization - ETA Approves Length in Third Period For Major Bantam Games
Submitted By Webmaster on Thursday, May 21, 2015
Effective for the 2015/2016 season the ETA has approved the use of 15-15-20 minute periods for the Major Bantam division while retaining the current requirement of the 2:00 hour (minimum) time slot. ETA research during the 2013/2014 season and experience with longer periods for the Minor and Major Midget divisions has confirmed that under normal circumstances games with the additional period length could be completed in the 2 hour ice allocation.Accordingly this change has been made in order to more effectively utilize the allocated ice time as well as to move towards the game lengths now being utilized for the ETA Midget divisions.
